So it's come to my attention that someone thinks this isn't exciting enough. Sucks to your assmar. Anywho, things are settling into a pattern about now. Go to class each day, maybe hang out once or twice a week somewhere, go chill with Alexa over the weekend, rinse and repeat. I haven't really felt the need to go out and do anything touristy yet, because that's what we're doing in my one class, and I feel like I'm getting more out of that than I would by wandering around by myself. It's over in 3 weeks, so after that I'll get out and about on my own more, especially since I'll only have class Monday and Wednesday. So there's really nothing to say this time. Last week we went to Covent Garden, which is this market place and ended up by London Bridge and the Globe. In between, we went into more old churches and through Leicester Square(theater district) and through more of "London." If nothing else, I'll vaguely know where many things are in the city after the class is done and will have a base for going out on my own. I'll also have heard ridiculous amounts of useless knowledge about all these places. What remains to be seen is how much of it actually sticks. Unfortunately, this week we have a midterm, so that means no exploring on Thursday and no new pictures or accounts. That's all for now. Hopefully someone will want to go out tonight, even though I doubt it because they're all worried about class and stuff. Go figure. You'd think we were at school or something.

A little break

On the subject of London, our flat is pretty tight. And it always helps to have the flatmate who seems to have loads of disposable income and buys everyone drinks. Daniel was a slight disaster last night, but that was Adam's plan since it was his birthday. On the other hand, check out this site if you like tight beats. I like it, and that's what matters to me. Guy has some talent though. Time to make some dinner now.

New Stuff

I still haven't quite figured out how to add pictures the way i want to on here, and i don't think that blogger will do it the way i want to, so i'll just keep putting them on photobucket and linking to albums through here. nothing too too special to talk about over the last few days. history of london was cool again. this time we went down through the actual city of london part of london. like london is split up into parts kind of like NYC or at least thats my understanding, either way we went to the part called city of london. we to st. paul's cathedral, which is one of those landmarks you're supposed to know apparently. it also had a pretty sweet view of the city if you climbed all 500-600 of the tiny ass steps up to the top. you can definitely tell that the average person then was like 5'2. i fit fine though. we just did a lot of walking and saw lots of cool random shit. i probably wouldn't have known what half of it was and its nice that the teacher guy is like a walking encyclopedia. we also went by the tower of london, but not in because we didn't have enough time. we'll check that out another day. also saw some of the remnants of the old roman wall.

the other class i'm not gonna say much about because its basically weather and storms: part 2. this will be a pretty simple study abroad time. other things are going well too. we've got a pretty cool flat and get along pretty well even though we're all fairly different. adam is the southern ladies man, stevie is the gay one, daniel is the fashion designer one, and muhammad is the rich pakistani one. today's daniel's birthday so we'll be going out somewhere to celebrate, we meaning all of us minus muhammad because he's got other friends here that he usually does stuff with. this is enough for now, and picture link should be the next post.

Quick Little Post

Got here last Saturday morning, but I didn't get internet in my flat until yesterday evening. Upon finding this out I took a nap and after waking up we went out to Sports Cafe. We meaning me and two of my flatmates(Daniel and Stevie) and some of the girls downstairs. Adam(3rd of 4 flatmates) met us there too. So good times, and not much time for blogging. I'll probably go into the background detail later, but the pictures I threw up in the post below are mostly from my class "History of London" aka "A 4 1/2 hour twice a week walking tour." The plaque was commemorating the house where that good old American patriot Benedict Arnold lived after he came over here. The church is St. Bartholomew the Great. Apparently it's where some scenes from "Shakespeare in Love" and the 4th wedding in "4 Weddings and a Funeral" were filmed. We also saw about a bazillion other things that I didn't take pictures of yet, but there are still 10 weeks to do that.

happy emily?

In London

What is up all? I'm here and that's about all I'm gonna say for now. For some reason there's not yet wireless in the flat, so that makes getting on the internet slightly harder. I should have it either Monday or Tuesday so I'll make a real post then. Later for now.
